BLACKCHALK
Blackchalk blend hook filled melodies and layered rock guitars to create contagious songs with a party attitude. Their latest track ‘Believe it or Not’ is a testimony to their ability to write tunes laden with both raw emotion and vibrancy. ‘Effigy’ and ‘So Called Family’ further showcase their obvious talents. Their myspace page is a stunner! Quite simply one of the best we’ve seen to date with a true professional edge.
CANDY AND THE KIDS
Candy and the Kids show their talent and song writing abilities off to maximum effect with all six tracks. A powerful vocal performance delivers beautiful melodies that quite simply glue themselves to your mind. ‘Modern Life’ and ‘Will I Ever Learn’ are modern folk pop classics. The page reflects their name well with candy colours aplenty. ‘Candy is good for you’ their page declares; we certainly think so.

BACK BEAT SOUND SYSTEM
Superb surf reggae act from South West England, Back Beat Sound System bring you three excellent songs along with remixes of their great track ‘Daily Grime’. ‘Old Friend of Mine’ kicks off with catchy style and the laid back ‘Nightmares’ takes it down a notch or two. Their infectious rhythms and grooves paired with great brass and vocals bring the feel of summer almost within grasp. Their page makes you feel you’ve unwrapped a real gem.

Raucous rock with a sublime raw vocal performance from Heather McCallum, crazy blistering guitars and energy to the max. Three fantastic tracks, Cowtown, Fighting Forks and Holiday, and the promise of more to come. The hypnotic Hugo Frusslinky backdrop to the page mesmerises but they don’t need the power of hypnosis to pull you in, their talent, power and tunes are easily enough.
Three tracks of guttural metal played hard and fast like it should be, battering the listener with its rhythmic brutality. Hurt Me Plenty and Devine Disfiguration assault the ears while Carnage Conspiracy slows it down a bit, but never loses its intense aural bombardment. With vocals that pierce your very soul and a backdrop to their myspace page to match, Seconds to Slaughter have the full package.
Laid back r’n’b with an urban hip hop edge. Clay sings with soulful intelligence over smooth tracks and great beats. ‘Too Many People’ and ‘She’s So Fine’ show off his vocal talents and songwriting ability to maximum effect. ‘My Vice’ has an electro dance synth feel drawing you through, but never losing the chilled style. The page itself reflects his cool elegance well.
